The Frida-Levy Comprehensive School in Essen is a new educational complex with a strong cultural focus, articulated through three volumes: school building, auditorium, and sports hall.

The project consists of timber buildings on a shared concrete base, forming a clear urban edge while preserving the identity of each volume.

Our Role
BIMPRO Architects acted as BIM Manager and overall coordinator, ensuring BIM implementation and information consistency.

Scope of Services

BIM Management
– Acting as the interface between the client’s BIM management and project implementation.

-Monitoring the compliance of information deliverables with the BIM Requirements Document (EIR).

– Implementation and development of the BIM Execution Plan (BAP).

– -Advising the team and the client on BIM objectives, uses and information strategy.

– Defining BIM use cases.

– Coordinating the central project platform (CDE).

– Monitoring and control of the team’s information deliverables.

– Responsible for compliance with BIM standards and guidelines.

– Leading BIM coordination meetings throughout the project.

BIM Coordination
• Coordination of IFC exchange between architecture, structure, and building services.
• Integration of discipline models into a coordination model in an independent environment.
• Model verification using model-checking software.
• Issuing coordinated models and communicating issues via IFC/BCF exchange.
• Preparation of review reports for the client.
• Update management and tracking of corrections.
• Iterative reviews until error-free models were achieved at each phase.

The complexity of the project, due both to its scale and the use of timber construction systems—required rigorous and structured BIM management.
